The Speedy Runner

Around a month ago, when I went back home to attend my late grandfather's funeral, I took my very limited time to go to some nostalgic places. One of them was my senior high school. Don't ask why this so randomish wanderer ended up visiting her previous school. At that very moment, I just felt I have to pay a visit. That's it.

Honestly, when I arrived at my senior high school's front gate, I soon felt super oldie old #grin #nodoubt. After parked my motorcycle across the school and scanned through things in front of my eyes, I found scenes that somehow linked me to the past. My past...when I was studying there. I saw my old self in some neatly-dressed-and-veiled students who were standing in front of the school for a bus that would safely take them home. I saw my old self in a group of rowdy young girls, chattering while ordering sets of meatballs and noodles at the nearby street vendor. And, the most memorable one, I saw my old self in a tracksuit-wearing young students who were playing football at Lapangan Karang, a football field just 3-minute walk from the school. Nostalgic.

"Bunga? Anak IPA yang larinya paling kenceng?". "Bunga? Yang hobi balapan lari sama cowok-cowok?". "Bunga? Yang rekor larinya sulit dipecahkan cowok-cowok se-SMU 5?"

Lapangan Karang, Kotagede, Yogyakarta; my mightiness silent witness
Speaking about the most memorable moment during my senior high school, it would be related to those comments that most of the students in my school connected me to. Bunga, the speedy runner. Lapangan Karang must be the silent witness of my running mightiness. I missed that place a lot, with its barren and dusty field, its famous "Sate Sapi Karang" stall, and its friendly neighborhood.

Well, I never intended to exaggerate my "obviously seen talent", but seriously, I don't feel shy to show off a little bit about my running skill #almighty. I guess I'm born with a speedy moving skill, whether it's walking or running, I'm super good at doing both. Off the record, my fuhus ever asked me why would I endanger myself with my speedy way of walking. FYI, he's super slow, thus we're a complete opposite in terms of moving skill (or riding a motorcycle, or thinking, or eating #tongue). Basically, I understand that I don't have to show off my speedy moving skill to others, especially when I also realize that I'm so clumsy (*I can suddenly trip, stumble or fall down when I walk #sighs). But the problem is, I always feel super almighty when I'm walking or running in a speedy manner. Why? Because that's my pride. Errr..kinda :).
-----
The most important thing is, this speedy runner (and walker) was first recognized by her soul mate fuhus, through her speedy walking style. So? I'm so grateful that I'm speedy and I'm still feeling almighty about it :D. #supercilious
