流星花園 - 國立中正大學

Last week, me and Dik Andari visited Nat'l Chung Cheng University (國立中正大學, Guoli Zhongzheng Daxue) in Chiayi County, along with Mrs. Yang (*int'l students officer) and Anice (*oversease chinese student; Macau Girl). It took 30 minutes from Chiayi City to Chiayi County by car. Our visit there was actually "on mission". To do some observations (*read : investigations) about NCCU anniversary celebrations.

Honestly, Food Festivals held there was not really captivate me. NCCU's building was the one that stole my attention. Hehehe (*mission FAILED). NCYU looks way too unattractive compared to NCCU *i WANT to MOVE THERE (*scream!)*. Hhhh...but no Biotechnology nor Food Science Department in NCCU. Well, I were just hoping against hope that i would be a student there.

Btw, while wandering around Food Festivals area, i found that the NCCU's building was...FAMILIAR. Then....B.I.N.G.O! It's so similar with the building in...METEOR GARDEN scenes. Actually, once (long long time ago) i heard that, Meteor Garden was filmed in one of the university in Chiayi. At first, i thought it refers to my university, NCYU. But, it happened to be merely my random thoughts^^.

Let's check out this 2nd episode of Meteor Garden, in 04.07-04.10 minutes (to be exact)...to make sure whether the similarities i've encountered not merely in my imaginations ^-^.

Later you'll see this building :

(*dui bu dui (*wink2)?)

Well, just check out the whole episodes of Meteor Garden by yourself and try to match the campus-scenes with this buildings :

NINE WORDS WOMEN USE

After found this article, i suddenly felt that women really are COMPLICATED. Hmmm...as a woman (*or not yet a woman ;p), i always feel so. "Declaring" myself as a straightforward one, doesn't always mean that i never "hide something" or never tried to be not complicated at all. Well, i don't know whether women complicatedness is related with the material genetics they have brought or not. But, hmmm....it could be.
Let's see :
Both of men/males and women/females have 23 chromosomal pairs. On the 23rd chromosomal pair of the typical human, a female has two X chromosomes while a male has only one X chromosome, the other chromosome is Y chromosome. The Y chromosome holds considerably fewer genes than the X chromosome but it has the important job of coding for maleness. I forgot where i got this, but i remember that XX chromosomes contain more genetic materials than XY chromosomes. In the whole DNA, XX chromosomes comprise 5 % of the genetic materials while XY chromosomes "only" comprise 2.5 %. Having 2.5 % more genetic materials than men, means the gene expressions in women's DNA are more than men. Maybe, because of that women are more complicated than men. Hehehe....*just my two cents*
Out of my two cents, maybe this opinions here can describe "how complicated women are" :
"A woman often is a misunderstood creature; a very complex individual. I think it is her complexity that makes her so, so complicated".
"From a "mindset" point of view, women are generally (not all) more complicated, able to see scenarios maybe 10x more than scenarios men generally think of. Women are naturally more analytical, resultantly more suspicious. That is why in the jealousy department, it is usually the women who accuse the men (to be fair, they are right most of the times)".
"Women also have a more developed INTUITION. This sense in women is almost always correct. Very few men are so gifted".
"Emotionally, women are. They cry when they are angry, when they are happy, when they are lonely, when the children are all naughty when the children are away, when their husbands talks a lot, when the husbands won't talk, and so many other "when". Name it and they are ready to cry!"
"Boys will be boys and have dirty minds and are less complicated. But women don't have dirty minds because they change them very often".
"Woman very complicated. Mind think something but mouth speak different thing".
"Women... I just can't understand their moods... very fickle...".
Hmmm...i think most of the opinions above were typed by the men. Hehehe...

Dear Lil' Sis, OMEDETOU^^!

HI UGM, huh? Great job, Cit^^. I never doubt your "ability" actually. But before, Dad told me that your choices were all H.I.G.H. I mean, in UM UGM entrance exam you chose International Relations, Communication Political Science and English Literature as your first, second and third choice, respectively. Dad even told me that you are (always) overconfident. Hahaha.

Well, i don't think so. I mean, i knew it clearly that you've measured your ability well. I just knew that you'll pass it without any difficulties^^.
So, Plan A is all you have to do Lil' Sis. You'll surely have a chance again in the future to go abroad. Don't worry about that. Until then, face this new beginning of your college life happily, OK? I'll always pray the best on earth for your success. HWAITING ^^V!

Rina no Quiz^^

Recommended by Rina. Taken from here.
Here's my results :
Your view on yourself:

You are down-to-earth and people like you because you are so straightforward. You are an efficient problem solver because you will listen to both sides of an argument before making a decision that usually appeals to both parties.
----> hohoho, seikai desu^^. Too straightforward sometimes.
The type of girlfriend/boyfriend you are looking for:

You like serious, smart and determined people. You don't judge a book by its cover, so good-looking people aren't necessarily your style. This makes you an attractive person in many people's eyes.
----> hihihi, maybe yes...maybe not. I mean, having plenty of good-looking men around (*namely my father, my brother, my cousins^^) quite affecting my "taste". Hehehe...
Your readiness to commit to a relationship:

You are ready to commit as soon as you meet the right person. And you believe you will pretty much know as soon as you might that person.
----> commit to a relationship, yes. commit suicide, no ;p.
The seriousness of your love:

You like to flirt and behave seductively. The opposite sex finds this very attractive, and that's why you'll always have admirers hanging off your arms. But how serious are you about choosing someone to be in a relationship with?
----> HECK! How could it be so wrong? Flirty? Seductive? ME? Hahahaaaaa...(*ROFL). I'd rather choose "jutek", "judes", "sadis", "preman" (Gunawan, Sudorowerti and Aprilin, 2009).
Your views on education

Education is less important than the real world out there, away from the classroom. Deep inside you want to start working, earning money and living on your own.
----> Hmmm...tabun ne^^
The right job for you:

You're a practical person and will choose a secure job with a steady income. Knowing what you like to do is important. Find a regular job doing just that and you'll be set for life.
----> PNS, huh (*same like Rina^^) ? Well, i'm planning to work at The Indonesian Institute of Sciences (LIPI) or the Association of Food, Medicine, and Cosmetics Majelis Ulama Indonesia (LP POM MUI), though. So, well, yeah...
How do you view success:

You are confident that you will be successful in your chosen career and nothing will stop you from trying.
----> Hai^^.
What are you most afraid of:

You are afraid of things that you cannot control. Sometimes you show your anger to cover up how you feel.
----> Hohoho, correct again^^.
Who is your true self:

You are mature, reasonable, honest and give good advice. People ask for your comments on all sorts of different issues. Sometimes you might find yourself in a dilemma when trapped with a problem, which your heart rather than your head needs to solve.
----> Most of my friends said so.

OMEDETOU, De' Ivo^^!

Finally, i can get that picture. YEAY ^-^V! Ohohooo...they're such a cute "couple", rite?
I started to imagine that later i'll have such a cutie nieces-nephews. Hehehe.

Anyhow, such a smart boy my brother is. How could he get that kind of beautiful girl?
(*I'm sure he will answer : "Of course, Ngek...because i'm H.A.N.D.S.O.M.E, i certainly get the beautiful one. Well, only beautiful girl fits me. Don't try to find handsome man, wouldn't fit you though"). Sounds rude, huh? Hahahaa...that's our "joke".

Well, De' Ivo, CONGRATULATIONS on your graduation^o^. Go encourage my brother to follow you soon. Your marriage is depend on my brother's graduation. Remember it well^^.

Mission Accomplished-Lost at TMS-One of the Kind Souvenirs

Finally, after almost two weeks, this what so called ballot counting was over. Quite tiresome process, to be honest. But somehow, i enjoyed every single part of it (*even the most annoying one).
Stayed two nights in a row at Bu Yessi's apartment, surely became the most memorable one^^. Not to mention that i was also trained to be Didat's babysitter. Hehehe. Knowing that i'll stay overnight at her house, Bu Yessi soon told me that i have to keep an eye on her children while she's having ehmmm...night walk with Pak Zul. Gyahahahaaaa....*glad to know that my existence there was highly needed, Bu^^*. And btw, for Bu Yessi's children case, i can say that they're easy to handle. Just by giving them my iPOD and my celly...they can be as quiet as mouse. Well, the "bitter" part was, i have to get ready to accept those my two stuff, in battery-empty-condition.
OK, finally my three days adventure in Taipei was over. After wrote down Pak Zul's "how to get to the Guo-Guang Bus Station" instructions, i left. Well, yeah...this is my third time to go to Taipei. But before, i always went with my friends. While having them around, i always lack of attentions. This time, i was alone. So, actually, i didn't really "menguasai medan". Hihihi. Took like....MORE THAN ONE HOUR to find Z5 exit. Ughhhh...i couldn't feel my feet anymore. While wandering around, i met....YUHERINA GUSMAN! Hahahaaaaa....OMG^^. She's laughing at me (+my stupidity ;p).
After went out from Z5 exit, i was more than glad to see Guo-Guang Bus Station. But...my suffer hasn't ended yet. Long queues has waiting. I have to wait 2 hours to get into the bus. During queuing, i realized that my skirt was wet. When i opened my sling bag, there's...Didat's milk bottle. Oh..My..Lord. Hahahaaaaa. Then, i told Bu Yessi about it. She told me that i can keep it as a souvenir^^. Hihihi...Didat, maafin Amah Bunga ya...

Keep an Eye on The Ballots...Totemo Muzukashii Desu Yo...

Two days in a row keep an eye on thousands of ballot in KDEI (Indonesian Economic and Trade Office in Taipei) was surely a brand new experience for me.
Day one. With Sinta next to me...everything was under controlled. Well, except for unbelievably complicated final recapitulation^^. But, two pairs of eyes are better than a pair, for sure. I couldn't say that day one's counting method was flawless. It's very fast...but rather made mistakes behind. Hands and mouth have different speed and paces. And the deviation between the counted ballots and the entry were quite significant. All in all, it has troublesome ending.
Day two. Having only myself at the different "polling station"...was extremely hard. Even though the ballot reader was the mediocre-paced one...still, not easy to keep up with. But in my opinion, day two's counting method was much better. The deviation was lower and the results were getting close to accurate. But i couldn't deny that hours by hours, my accuracy was getting lower. My eye sight was getting blurry. In the end, i ended up cross-checking my entry because it didn't match with the counted one. Whew! (*tired)
Off the record :
Talking about the General Election, it can't be separated from electoral fraud. How to minimize the fraud and make sure that the voter voices are saved ? Maybe this can be done. But I doubt that Indonesia can use that "reliable and trustworthy" ballot.

(Still) about marriage

I guess this "marriage-thingy" will always be my hottest topic until my little brother later on married. Hehehe.
Whew! Getting married is surely not a piece of cake stuff (*of course^^). Well, even though the one who'll get married is ready...mind, body and soul. Still, there're more things need to be considered thoughtfully. And i guess among lots of things, family is the most important. Not only our own family, our couple's family also. OK, i'll make it more specific. The PARENTS. They are very important in this case.
Hmm...sometimes, i don't really understand the parents way of thinking. Well, i'm not a mind reader, indeed. But, i mean, sometimes their way of thinking is way too far or way too difficult to be reached and understood by the children. OK, for example. This is my family case, actually. My Mom is a bit disagree with the idea about my little brother will get married first. Oh..come on, Mom...you're so Java-rashi (*Hehehe, well...she is actually). What is so wrong with letting the one who is ready to go first ??? I mean, if my brother has to wait for me to get married...wow, maybe he has to wait for quite a long time. It's not fair for him, really. Right now, marriage is not my priority, yet. And btw, to whom will i marry ? ^^
Back to my Mom. She told me that my brother is way too young to get married. HECK, Mom...he's almost 22. And btw, i don't agree if the well-preparedness of someone is measured from their age. Young age is not always equals to unreadiness. That's why my father is a little bit stressed out. It took a few weeks to make Mom change her mind about this. When this issue was over, another issue came up. What else, except about me being skipped by my younger brother in this marriage-thingy. OMG...OMG...i thought this kind of issue was over long long time ago (*deep sighing). Well, seems like i have extra homework to do. I hope i can convince my Mom about this. I hope...

My Very First Writing

SOUTHERN FORMMIT’S EVENT - PRESIDENT OF FORMMIT’S FIRST VISIT TO TAINAN
The Southern FORMMIT (FORMMIT Selatan) had successfully throw a special event titled “Silaturrahmi FORMMIT SELATAN” on the April 4th 2009, in National Cheng Kung University’s Dormitory (Sheng Li 2). This event was conducted in order to strengthen silaturrahmi among the Southern FORMMIT members. For the opening, the former Southern Governor, Azman Muammar, shared some of his experiences regarding to the former organizational activities. After Azman’s sharing experiences, Danurwendo Arief Setio Wicaksono also gave his very first speech as a new Governor. Danurwendo vowed, together with the others he will try his best to continue what Azman cs have been done because more still needs to be done. Having him as a new Governor, surely become a new atmosphere in this organization. All agreed he will become a great Governor and can lead to the better Southern FORMMIT.
The VIP of the day was the President of FORMMIT, Lalu Muhamad Jaelani who came all the way from Chungli to Tainan to mingle with the Selataners. After introduced himself, he told the audience to keep up the brotherhood so later on FORMMIT members, especially in the southern part, can work together at ease. Then, he asked the former President of FORMMIT, Setyabudi Indartono, to share his experiences too, as Azman did before. Setyabudi reminded the new FORMMIT committee to work together solidly and do not forget to keep the relations with the organizations apart from FORMMIT. Besides that, Setyabudi also pointed the most important things that the new committee must paid attention to, which are Indonesian Workers and their issues. With his funny-Cilacap-style, Setyabudi was successfully cheered the event up. Finally, the most awaited one, “makan-makan” closed the event. (*hana_nyan)
Dou ? Well, yeah...there's always a first time for everything, rite ? From this now on, i'll try my best to write well :).
