A Bitter Pill to Swallow

Last Friday was the most awaited moment of my campus life. It was ISA-NCYU's new President election. After slaving/serving myself as the president of ISA-NCYU for this whole year, time to leave the "hot seat" has finally come. I couldn't get happier than ever.

The meeting was apparently rather long than usual. Robin has listed 14 agendas to be discussed together. No.1 agenda was happened to be the most contentious among all.

Robin : Ok, let's start the meeting...bla..bla..bla. This year, our university has chosen 4 students to receive the Service Award. They will come to the stage at the graduation ceremony to receive the award from the President of the university. They are Kwanchai, Kwanruan, Li Hue and Winitra.
---buzz...buzz...buzz---
Quan : Robin, why Bunga's name is not on the list? [*he didn't bother to use "can i ask you a question" and just straightforwardly asking =p].
Agatha - Atchara - Amongtap : Yes, why is that?
---buzz..buzz...buzz---
Robin : Well, of course as a President of ISA, Bunga has a huge chance to win the award, but i've told her the reason about why she doesn't get listed [while stole a glance at me].
---buzz..buzz..buzz---
Bunga : *smirking bitterly*

Want to know why i didn't get into the list?

---Two weeks earlier's flashbacks at Robin's office---
Robin : Bunga, can i talk to you for a minute?
Bunga : *something's fishy here* Yes, Robin, what's up?
Robin : Did you know about the Service Award that annually given to the students here?
Bunga : Yes, what about that?
Robin : I've chosen the awardees. But, i need to tell you something.
Bunga : Errr, what's that, Robin?
Robin : I'm so sorry that you are not listed as the awardee.
Bunga : Oooh...i...see. *frowning*
Robin : I know that you've done a lot for the association. I really appreciate that. I really do. But, to get the name of the awardees, there are two methods used. First, the voting from all ISA members. And the second one is my records. The second one is the new method i've been trying to use. Every involvements of ISA-NCYU member in ISA's activities was counted and apparently you weren't as active as the four awardees in the activities we've held.

Hahahhaaaaa...i couldn't believe that! She's counting all members' attendance on every activities/trips held by the association! *flabbergasted*

---Back to the meeting---
Robin : Bunga will be given the priority to deliver a speech at the graduates' farewell party. OK, Bunga? You can do that, right?
Bunga : Ha..ha..ha..i'm not that important [*still feeling two weeks ago's bitterness].

Anyhow, congratulations to Quan, my successor [*you'll know the bitterness of being the President of ISA-NCYU, in such a short period of time] !

De' Astri's Footage

P.S : Pardon me for such a "patchy" video editing. Recently, i've no time to be "wasted" to make a flawlessly-edited video/footage :D.

Chinese Calligraphy Class at NCYU

Wow...look at Laoshi's "drawing" style. Xixixi...serius abis^^

Sudahlah..ga usah coba2 Chinese calligraphy segala, Bunga. Nulis Chinese character biasa aja jelek kok :))

Apalagi ini...jangan coba2 membandingkan hasil kaligrafi novice dengan master =p

After missed last year's similar class, finally last night i managed to join this what so-called Chinese Calligraphy [Class] in my campus. Whewww...i gave up. No more Chinese Calligraphy...i'll just stick to the Chinese regular character. That's more than enough.

De' Astri's day two conds :
1. Her arm cast has been made to hold the bones in position and immobilizes the joints above and below the fracture.
2. She's been through electromagnetic radiation test in order to diagnose the joint dislocations and such.
3. Good News : In the afternoon, she finally felt tingly [=kesemutan] on her left arm after feeling post-surgery-numbness. It means her sensory system starts back to normal.

Day One : De' Astri's Story

Imagine you were hit by a car, got this kind of fracture* and gone under the knife. Those were exactly things happened to De' Astri. Let's wish all the best on earth for her recovery.
