For Better Or Worse (part 1)

From the very beginning, I knew that marriage life is not only going to be filled with joy and happiness. When someone agrees to marry his/her precious one, there's a sacred vow behind that agreement to bear everything together. E.v.e.r.y.t.h.i.n.g.

Allah will test every human being HE created with HIS own way. Human never knows when, where or what kind of test HE will give. The only thing that human can do is preparing him/herself for any kind of test. The better he/she prepares himself/herself, the easier he/she can accept the fact that he/she is now being tested, then move on and figure things out.

   Day one at the hospital : zero energy level

Day three at the hospital : medium energy level

Who would have thought that the newlyweds like me and my husband struck by the storm merely three weeks after our marriage? Well, nobody. Honestly, I never thought HE was going to test me this fast. But sure thing is...it's HIS privilege to make it soon or later. It's HIS prerogative to make it big or small. Everything is in Allah's hands.

Around two weeks ago, my husband suffered from a severe headache and fever. These were last for a straight 7 days (his fever was slightly down on the third day, but it was getting worse the days after. Notice that a long-term fever and headache are suspicious). And after that, he was admitted to a private hospital in Ciputat. At that time, the doctor only gave him antibiotic, vitamin, and analgesic medicines. Doctor released my husband from the hospital after a blood test that doctor concluded as "no big deal". Two days after, my husband felt nothing but continuing pain in his head. His super worried mother then suggested to get him hospitalized. So, since Tuesday, he received an intravenous therapy and a bunch of medications.

After hospitalized for three days and went through some painful tests, my husband's doctors suspected that he got a meningitis and tuberculosis. I almost couldn't believe that my dearest husband is possibly suffer from these two severe diseases. "Meningitis" sounds even scarier to me. In order to get a second opinion, I talked to my uncle, who happened to be an internist, regarding to doctors' suspicion. He told me to transfer my husband to a more reliable hospital, RSCM. On Friday, my husband was moved to isolation room for TB patient at RSCM. ~cont'd
